Best crypto cards for cashing out in 2026

Sooner or later, crypto has to become regular money. A card is the simplest exit point: no exchange or buyer to find, just pay with the card or withdraw cash at an ATM, and the conversion happens on its own.

How to work out the real cost of cashing out

  • Add up all three fees. Topping up the card with crypto, converting to cash, and withdrawing cash — the sum of these three numbers determines how much you lose on cashing out, not whichever one stands out most.
  • Withdrawal limits. Free ATM withdrawals are usually capped at the first $100–200 a month, then 1–2%. For regular large sums, an account with an IBAN can work better.
  • Conversion method. "Auto at checkout" means the service converts crypto at the moment of payment; manual conversion means you sell it in the app ahead of time at a known rate. Manual gives you control, automatic gives you convenience.
  • Issuer reliability. When large sums pass through a card, the service's reputation matters more than half a percentage point of fee difference.

Kraken Krak Card — CRI 79

Zero conversion fee, zero markup on the rate, and Kraken doesn't charge for ATM withdrawals. Over four hundred assets can be cashed out without an intermediate exchange step.

Bybit Card — CRI 76

Auto-conversion with a choice of which asset to debit, plus around $100–150 of free cash withdrawal a month. Works across Europe, the UK, and Australia.

Wirex Card — CRI 74

Over fifty cryptocurrencies and ten fiat currencies in one app: convenient for cashing out less common coins without a separate exchange.

Crypto.com Visa — CRI 75

Free withdrawal limits depend on the card tier. The main reason to pick it is geography — it's one of the few cash-out cards that works in the US.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I cash out crypto through a card?

Three steps: top up the card balance with crypto, wait for it to land (usually minutes), then either pay with the card or withdraw cash from an ATM. Conversion to regular money happens automatically.

Where is cash withdrawal cheapest?

Kraken Krak: the exchange charges no withdrawal fee, so the only cost left is whatever the specific ATM operator charges. Most other cards give you a free limit of $100–200 a month, then 1–2% above it.

Are there taxes on cashing out?

It depends on the country. In many jurisdictions, converting crypto to money is a taxable event, even if you just paid for coffee with the card. Check your country's rules before cashing out large sums.
